Hannah and i regularly kept in touch via Facebook Messenger and one day she made a typo and put ‘sending you a bug hug’, instead of ‘big hug’. We thought it was great and so our messages would, from then on, end with ‘sending you a big bug hug’. It became our thing and we would buy ‘bug gifts’ for eachother, including cuddly toys and cards etc. i also have a jellycat lion that she so thoughtfully bought me, knowing that lions are my favourite animal (something to hug when i was struggling with low mood). I will be hugging my lion and remembering Hannah always.
